Terms and conditions
Motorcycles
The MotoRentVilnius.lt motorcycle fleet is divided into groups based on motorcycle type, engine power and engine capacity. Rental terms may vary between groups.
Third-party liability insurance
The rental price includes compulsory third-party liability insurance covering injury to third parties and damage to their property. This insurance is valid in EU countries.
Rental price
One rental day is a 24-hour period starting when the motorcycle is collected from the rental location. The minimum rental charge is the daily rental rate plus any applicable mileage charges.
The renter will be charged for each additional rental day, hour and/or part of an hour until the motorcycle is returned. Any applicable mileage charges are calculated using the motorcycle’s odometer readings.
No refund is provided if the motorcycle is returned early. If the motorcycle is returned more than one hour late, the rental agreement is automatically extended and the standard daily rental rate applies for each overdue day.
Fuel
For your convenience, all motorcycles are supplied with a full fuel tank. If the motorcycle is returned without a full tank, a refuelling charge of €2.50 per litre will apply.
Rider’s age
The rider must be at least 19 years old.
Restrictions on motorcycle power and engine capacity may apply to riders under 25 or those with less than two years of riding experience.
Driving licence
At the time of rental, the rider must present a valid driving licence with a photograph, together with an identity card or passport. The licence must cover the motorcycle being rented, be valid for at least one year and meet the driving licence requirements of the Republic of Lithuania.
If the driving licence was issued by a country that does not use the Latin alphabet, an International Driving Permit must be presented together with the national driving licence.
Additional charges
If a traffic offence is committed using the motorcycle during the rental period, MotoRentVilnius charges an administration fee of €35 for providing the rider’s details to the relevant police authority. The rider is responsible for complying with traffic regulations throughout the rental period. MotoRentVilnius will provide the police with all information about the rider.
The motorcycle’s registration documents, technical documentation and insurance policy must be returned with the motorcycle at the time and location specified in the agreement. A €200 penalty applies for documents that are not returned. Alternatively, the documents may be sent by courier. In this case, the rental period continues until MotoRentVilnius receives the motorcycle’s documents.
One-way rental
The motorcycle must be returned to the same location from which it was rented.
Driving restrictions
The rented motorcycle may be taken to all Baltic countries and Poland without additional restrictions. Travel to other EU countries requires separate approval from MotoRentVilnius representatives.
Taking the rented motorcycle to Russia, Belarus or Ukraine is prohibited.
Rental motorcycles may be fitted with location-tracking equipment.
Motorcycle breakdowns
MotoRentVilnius takes all reasonable precautions and makes every effort to ensure that its rental motorcycles are free from mechanical damage and defects. However, MotoRentVilnius accepts no responsibility for new faults arising during the rental period or any resulting losses. If a breakdown or defect occurs within Lithuania, the renter must contact MotoRentVilnius. Outside Lithuania, the renter is responsible for arranging the motorcycle’s return to Lithuania.
